As an aspiring Photographer I felt it was time to start challenging myself. Pick up the camera, go out, and find the good shots. Finding that one good picture every day seems like a very good way to help myself improve.

Please feel free to leave your comments and critiques

Thanks
Scott

At the beginning of this video you can see the road I was standing on as I took this shot looking up at the train. This train runs on a circular track that runs around the WMSTR grounds. It runs all day long and, although you can't see them in this picture it tows several cars that have been outfitted with seating for people to ride on. The ride on the train is something that most people HAVE to do when they visit..

BTW. Last years reunion drew about 80,000 visitors
littlebro > 9/6/09 - 1930 Ford Model A

I found this gem out at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion.

School has been keeping me busy. I'm not used to all this. I's been 25 years since I was last in school. It's been rather fun though. Interesting. But I miss seeing all of your work.

littlebro > 8/22/09 - Dotted Blazing Star ( Liatris punctata )

The bug was a bonus. I truely did not even see it until I downloaded the pics to my computer.

Not to be confused with the Turk's-cap Lily (Lilium superbum).
littlebro > 8/20/09 - Going back to school

I realized this year that I wanted to go back to school for some more learnin'
I decided to go after an AAS degree in Web Developement. Seems like it would be a good fit to photography. Most of the classes I will be taking online. How convienient is that ? I'm rather excited to be going back to school, even if I am 51.
I'm not too sure I'll be able to keep posting and commenting, but I'll see how it goes.
Classes start on monday. So much for my summer vacation.
littlebro > 8/19/09 - Jade Turtle ( well, I think it's jade )

For those of you who were wondering about the clock in my last post, I photographed it using just the overhead room light. As to it's age... The back says patented Jan 29, 1901. I know that is probably not when it was made, though. It was made by the Waterbury Clock Co. founded in New England in 1857. The company was still in business up until 1944 when it changed it's name to the United States Time Corporation. Shortly after WW II they started producing the watch that 'could take a licking and keep on ticking'.........the Timex watch.

So after all of that I now know that the clock is at least 65 years old.
littlebro > 8/17/09 - Alarm Clock

Your basic classic wind up alarm clock. This thing ticks quite loudly but is actually quite soothing to fall asleep to. The bell on top however, is very, very loud and is very exhilarating to wake up to.
littlebro > 8/16/09 - Bumble Bee on Sunflower

Really blends in, doesn't he ?
